A/B Testing Mental Model involves comparing two different versions of a digital campaign (Version A and Version B) to see which performs better. It feeds off the scientific method of testing where version A is the control and version B is the variant. This mental model is often used in email marketing, web design, and other digital marketing campaigns. For instance, an ecommerce brand could use this model to test the impact of two different button colors on its website’s conversion rate. Version A might use a blue button, while version B uses a green button. After running the test, the team could analyze which version had a higher conversion rate and implement that in their strategy moving forward.
