Most of us often waste energy and time fighting circumstances we cannot change, and neglect those where our actions would actually make a difference. This is where the 'Acceptance and Change' mental model, inspired by the Serenity Prayer, comes in. It helps us focus on living and operating within our control zones. For example, you cannot change the weather but you can choose how to respond to it: by wearing appropriate clothes, changing plans, or staying indoors. This mental model can also apply to personal traits, behavior or events.
