The Memory Palace Technique

The Memory Palace Technique is a method of memory enhancement which uses visualization to organize and recall information. Most often, it involves associating the pieces of information you wish to remember with physical locations or objects.
The Memory Palace technique, also known as the 'Method of Loci', is an ancient mnemonic strategy that leverages spatial memory to enhance the recall of information. To use this technique, one must first imagine a familiar place such as a home or a route. Each item or piece of information is then associated with a particular object or feature within this imagined space. For example, if you wanted to remember a speech, you might associate each key point with a different room in your house. Then, to recall the speech, you'd mentally 'walk' through your house, recalling each point as you pass through each room.
The art of memory is the art of ordering and referring to spaces physically or in the mind for the purpose of recollecting - Frances Yates, Scholar
