The Winner Effect

The Winner Effect is a psychological phenomenon where a person who experiences a string of successes develops a mindset of continued competence and victory.
The Winner Effect
The Winner Effect conditionally impacts the psychological state of a individual, often influencing future decisions and outcomes. For example, a tennis player winning a series of matches generates momentum and belief in his abilities, which in turn increases his chances of winning subsequent games. However, it can also create overconfidence, leading to miscalculations or failure to adequately prepare.
